Creating music that is hard to define, yet memorably catchy, Rosie Okae experiments with pop, folk and soul, amongst other genres. She collaborated with musician/ producer Justin Paton, of Now on her album we know when to shout to make, redraft, refine and up-end her songs – an evolution that was evident in the freshness of each live performance of their work. She now writes and performs as a solo artist, continuing her genre-defying approach, with rich vocalisation, satisfying melodies and an anthemic, yet fragile lyrical style.
