I'm very excited to say that Daughters on the Stage are performing our debut show 'The Linzee Way' at the Hen & Chickens Theatre (near Highbury & Islington tube) from Tues 24th - Sat 28th May at 7.30pm. It's a brand new comedy show that we've created. Come along for a fun night out! November 2010
Performed in 'Raise the Roof' at the Hayward Gallery, as part of the 'Move' exhibition at the South Bank Centre. We had great fun dancing on the roof on our own individual stages wearing very high heels! Thankfully it didn't feel as cold as I was expecting!
Made a radio drama in a day during a course with the radio director Gordon Lamont. It was inspiring to discover that it was actually possible to improvise, write and record a radio piece in one day!
Started developing and recording a new song, which I think will be called 'Help Myself.' Should hopefully be uploading it here soon.
October 2010
Have worked with Justin Paton on 'We Know When To Shout,' which was an amazing process. You can hear this song and 'Space to Hide' by clicking on songs.
September 2010
Collaborated with Justin Paton on one of my songs 'Space to Hide.' It's so exciting to hear how far we've developed it beyond my original melody and lyrics.
August 2010
Took part in Acting for Everyone course, taught by the director Patricia Doyle. It was great to work on spontaneous improvisation, monologues and scenes with her guidance and feedback.
July 2010
Finished my primary teaching job this month. Looking forward to giving more of my time to performance.
June 2010
Played the part of Rachel in 'Move Ahead,' a short film about teachers. I enjoyed drawing on my own experiences of teaching to help with playing the role.
