I swot up on its cultural events and plan trips in order to 'french-ify' myself (I want this to happen soon). When I watch sports or check results, I look at how the French are doing first and feel a stirring inside myself when I hear the national anthem. I have a big map of France so I can look at it whenever want, which is often.
I'm going to beginners French classes at the moment and gradually getting my vocabulary back. I try not to be too impatient.
Marseille is a particular focus for my obsession and here's a venue I stalk regularly.
